No you cant be serious. It was Sony that actually kick-started the adult gaming market. GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Tenchu, Pro Evolution Soccer, these are the games that started their console lives on the Playstation machines and these are the same games that gave the reasons for more adult gamers to emerge. In the UK, I believe the PS3 version of GTA 4 is sold out on pre-orders, according to gaming industry reports. I think you are too late to pre-order it considering it's only like 5 or 6 days before the game is released lol! However there is no harm in trying to pre-order the game, so do that first. The is no excuse for a current-gen games console to be having a game on multiple discs. That crap was ok to do back in the PS1-era days of Final Fantasy VII back in 1998 but not now in 2008! This multiple disc stuff wasn't even used for major titles on the PS2! It is understandable you are into the 360 has you have many PC gamers that have adapted to the console. I live in the UK too (London) and from what I can see around me everyone I know with a current-gen console has a PS3 and the rest are planning to buy one. I personally think it's about time that Sony stopped producing PS2 consoles and PS2 games altogether. Yeah I know the PS2 still sells by the bucketloads, but the real main focus now is on the PS3 and rapidly generating a consumer transition from PS2 gamer to PS3 gamer. I'm getting the PS3 version of GTA 4 for sure. It's the only console I own out of the current-gen consoles anyway, I dont intend on buying a 360. Yeah the 360 version of GTA 4 will get massive new levels as eposidic content. Not only will it get new cities, but it will get whole new countries/nations. In addition you will get whole new weapons like jet-fighter planes, missiles, tanks, nuclear warheads and the aim of the game is for you and your gang to take over entire countries and control all the world supply of the most valuable raw materials and commodities.

I agree DFresh. That report sounds like nonesense man. It really just depends on what type of gamer you are. Casuals may buy less because they'll be likely to only buy the most popular, well-known games out there. Hardcore gamers tend to buy more games covering most genres, therefore they buy more games. it really just depends on many factors.
